3DSEARCH (3dsearch.net and the Android app) is run by Christian Hietzker, Robert Koch Weg 8, 4050 Traun, Austria, [email protected] ("we"). These terms apply to using 3DSEARCH with or without an account and to the Supporter subscription. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
3DSEARCH is a search engine for 3D printing models. We show titles, images and details of models that others have published on platforms such as Printables, Thingiverse, MakerWorld, MyMiniFactory, Cults3D, Thangs, Creality Cloud, MakerOnline, GrabCAD, NexPrint and Sketchfab, and link to the original. You download the models themselves from that platform; its terms and the licence chosen by the creator apply there. Whether you may print, modify or sell a model depends solely on that licence.
Details such as "free", licence, download counts or categories come from the platforms. We check them as well as we can but cannot guarantee that they are correct or up to date. We provide the free features voluntarily; we may change, extend or discontinue them and do not guarantee any particular availability.
An account is free. You must be at least 14 years old; only adults, or minors with the consent of their parents or guardians, may take out the Supporter subscription. Give truthful details when registering, keep your password secret and let us know if someone else has access to your account.
You can delete your account at any time under Account → Settings. A running Supporter subscription is cancelled when you do.
Content you post – comments, makes (photos of your prints), ratings, collections and their descriptions, feedback, your display name – stays yours. You allow us to show it on 3DSEARCH and to process it technically for that (for example to resize images) for as long as it is online. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to it.
Not allowed is content that breaks the law, in particular:
- infringements of copyright, trademark or personality rights, such as other people's photos or model files without permission;
- insults, threats, hate speech, harassment and discrimination;
- instructions or files for prohibited weapons, and content that calls for criminal acts;
- pornographic content in publicly visible areas, and any depiction of minors in a sexual context;
- spam, off-topic advertising, malware and misleading links;
- automated mass retrieval of the site (scraping) that impairs its operation, and attempts to get around security measures.
Report content. If you believe something on 3DSEARCH is illegal or breaks these terms, report it via Report content (link in the footer of every page). Tell us which content it is (address), why you believe it is illegal and – except for reports to protect children – your name and email address. We confirm receipt and tell you our decision. If your complaint concerns a model itself, please also contact the platform hosting it; once removed there, it disappears from 3DSEARCH with the next update.
What we do. We review reports by hand. If content breaks these terms or the law, we may remove it, restrict its visibility (for example set a collection to private) and, for serious or repeated violations, suspend or delete the account. We take into account how serious the violation is and whether it was intentional. We do not make automated decisions; a filter only hides models with adult content by default.
Statement of reasons and complaints. If we remove or restrict something of yours, we tell you by email what and why. You can object within six months via the contact form; we will then review the decision again. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Art. 21 of the Digital Services Act, or to the courts.
Point of contact. The single point of contact for authorities and users under Art. 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act is [email protected]; we communicate in German and English.
"Printers & Filament" lets you connect printers, see their status, send commands and start print jobs. You decide what gets printed and remain responsible for your printer: do not leave it running unattended if the manufacturer advises against it, and check file, profile and bed before starting. Gram and cost figures are estimates based on data from the printer or slicer. Connections to manufacturers' clouds depend on their services, which can change without notice, so we cannot promise that every connection works at all times.
What you get. The optional Supporter subscription supports 3DSEARCH. While it runs you get: no ads, hiding designers and tags, the print queue, a Supporter badge and a direct message line to the developer. The exact benefits are those shown on the Supporter page at the time of your order.
Price and term. €3.00 per month or €30.00 per year (final prices). You pay in advance through PayPal. The subscription renews automatically for the same term until you cancel.
Conclusion of the contract. On the Supporter page you choose monthly or yearly and click the PayPal button. In the PayPal window you confirm the subscription with an obligation to pay; this concludes the contract. We confirm it by email. Contract languages are German and English. These terms are always available on this page; the key points are also in the confirmation email.
Cancellation. At any time, without notice period, under Account → Settings → Supporter or on the Supporter page (or in your PayPal account). Nothing is charged after that; your benefits stay until the end of the period you paid for. There are no refunds for partial periods – except on withdrawal (section 8).
Price changes only apply to future periods. We announce them by email at least 30 days in advance; you can cancel before then. We never raise the price of a running subscription without your consent.
If 3DSEARCH ends. If we discontinue 3DSEARCH or the Supporter subscription, we cancel all subscriptions and refund prepaid, unused periods pro rata.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from the Supporter subscription within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires fourteen days after the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can use the "Withdraw from contract here" button on the Supporter page (also reachable under Account → Settings → Supporter). You can also inform us – Christian Hietzker, Robert Koch Weg 8, 4050 Traun, Austria, [email protected] – of your decision by an unequivocal statement (for example by email or letter); you may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments we received from you for this subscription without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day we receive your withdrawal – in full, even if you have already used the benefits. We use the same means of payment (PayPal). The subscription ends immediately on withdrawal; nothing more is charged.
